NAME

This organaization is called "Japan Society for Thoracoscopic Surgery",And the homepage is named TCSNET.

Purpose

The purpose of this organization is to make an effort to do research, educate and progress of VATS, promote member’s mutual communication, hence contribute an improvement of the public welfare.

As a minimally invasive surgery for the patient, VATS and endoscopeic surgery are now being watched. In a broad sense, endoscopeic treatment has a minimum risk of getting complication or aftereffect, and advantage for the patient is an improved in Quality of Life after a surgery.

However, the surgeons' incompetent in technical skill may risk the accidents, including hemorrhage or complication, those might occur, and proficiency of surgeons is in essential.

Accordingly, based on these technological issues and the patient focused medical logic, release the information among the surgeons and do the research to serve accident prevention. By paying attention to and sharing the information on issues in medical environment, more than ever, research activity leads to advance in dependable and safer treatments.
